It's Not Trauma. You're Just Lazy.
You might be lazy. Your pace might be too slow, and your ‘healing patience’ might be the thing that’s hurting you the most.
Speed can be harmful.
Speed can be healing.
Please read my words with an open mind because I don’t want you to get the impression that I’m suggesting you blindly rush your way through your healing journey - you don’t need to read four or five books per week to make progress - but you will feel tremendously powerful when you cultivate a sense of intentional forwards momentum while moving assertively towards your healing goals.
If you want to heal your relationship with your family, then read the relationship books and have the hard conversations rather than lingering in resentments.
If you’re looking to recover from issues of low self-worth or questionable self-esteem, then start stacking the high self-worth behaviours which will significantly shift your essence over time.
If you’re caught in vice or addiction, then establish firm boundaries and take on the truly self-loving actions. Don’t let it continue.
The healing journey can be soft and slow, but sometimes it needs to be intense and intentional - patience is important, but I don’t want you starting 2025 with some sort of pseudo-patience which is actually an unconscious concealment of unresolved apathy.
Fire yourself, and seal your wounds with heat.
